At K12 Scholars, our Behavior Intervention Services (BIS) are designed to help students build the skills they need to succeed—both in and out of the classroom. We work closely with families, schools, and districts across Long Island to provide individualized behavior plans and consistent, compassionate support for students facing behavioral, emotional, or social challenges.
We begin with a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) to understand the root causes of behavioral challenges.

Kim Conger is an experienced educator and former Director of Pupil Personnel Services at Jericho UFSD, known for leading special education and student support programs. She specializes in compliance, IEP planning, and creating inclusive learning environments, working closely with families and educators to help students succeed.
Michelle Kahn, M.S.Ed, brings over 25 years of experience in education, specializing in autism and developmental disabilities. She has served as a consultant and director for agencies, schools, and districts across Long Island and NYC. As a behavior consultant, Michelle focuses on staff and parent training, classroom support, program development, and behavior plans for families, schools, and agencies.
Lauren Seaton, LMSW is a dedicated Special Education Administrator and Licensed Social Worker with extensive experience in public schools and private agencies. She has served as Director of Pupil Personnel Services and Chief Information Officer, with expertise in IEP development, program compliance, and inclusive education. Based in Shoreham, she continues to advocate for students with diverse needs while staying active in SEAS and LIASEA.
For over twenty years, I’ve been dedicated to helping high school students become confident, skilled, and independent readers and writers. I’ve taught a variety of AP courses, including AP Language and Composition, AP Psychology, and AP Seminar, with a special focus on critical reading, academic writing, and crafting exceptional college application essays. Along the way, I’ve served as an English Regents scorer, teacher leader, instructional coach, and English department chairperson. I hold both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from New York University, and I bring the same level of commitment and care to every student I teach.

I began my journey in General Education before spending five years teaching English in Spain, followed by 12 years teaching Spanish for the NYC Department of Education. I hold a BS in Education from NYU and an MS in Secondary Education from Queens College, and I bring a deep appreciation for cultural exchange and multilingual communication to every lesson I teach.

Any student can take online or in-person classes with their provider. This gives them the flexibility to learn with the same teacher at their convenience.
We provide full length reporting and behavioral tracking for our students. This empowers schools with important information to better gauge progress and meet IEP Goals.

Our LI AP students attending weekly 2-hour sessions for 3 months typically increase 1-2 points. Those committing 6+ months usually increase 3+ points, with many scoring 5s. Our customized study pace maximizes your child’s unique AP score improvements.
